Joe D'Amico's NFLX Game of the Year
NY Jets vs. Philadelphia,
08/30/2012 18:35 EDT,
Score: 10 - 28
Point Spread: -4/-110 Philadelphia
Today's winner is Philadelphia over New York. This is my NFLX pre-season GoY.
Philadelphia is touted to top the NFC East and win at least 10 games this season. So far this exhibition campaign, the Eagles are 3-0, averaging 26.0 PPG, and outscoring opponents by 9.3 PPG. Starting QB, Michael Vick may be battling with a rib injury but rookie, Nick Foles has a 63.2% CR, 507 YP, 6 TDs, and 2 INTs. Veteran, Trent Edwards has also played well with a 66.7% CR, 2 TDs, and 0 INTs. Whether Vick plays or not, the offense will be in good hands. Going a perfect 4-0 would do a lot for the team, the fans, and the city of Philadelphia. Their running game is solid but their receiving corps is stellar with 8 players averaging DDs per reception and another 6 flirting with 10 YPR. The "D" is doing their job, as they have held the opposition to a mere 16.7 PPG. This is a team that was 3-1 both SU and ATS in pre-season play a year ago. Remember that the NFC East is a tough Division and going 4-0 here will make a true statement. New York is a mess, failing to score a TD yet this year. At 0-3 and being outscored by 13.0 PPG, the Jets are in disarray. QBs Sanchez, Tebow, and McElroy have combined for 403 YP, 0 TDs, and 4 INTs. Shonn Greene isn't gaining yards on the ground and the receivers are pitiful. Philadelphia will remain perfect. Take the Eagles. Thank you.
