Joe D'Amico's NFLX Odds Makers Mistake Winner
Carolina vs. NY Jets,
08/26/2012 20:00 EDT,
Score: 17 - 12
Point Spread: +3/-110 Carolina
Today's winner is Carolina over New York. This is my Odds Makers Mistake Play.
New York is in trouble. The Jets have mustered a total of 9 points in their two pre-season contests, being outscored by an average of 17.0 PPG. If you combine Tebow's numbers with Sanchez's numbers, you will see a total of 176 YP, a 58.6% completion rate, 0 TDs, and 2 INTs. Their OL has allowed 12 sacks already. Their once-feared ground game has averaged just 75.5 YPG and the unit does not possess one single receiver worth mentioning. The offense can't move the ball while the defense is spending way too much time on the field. Carolina QBs, Clausen, Anderson, and Newton are all at or over 50% in completions. The ground game came alive for 146 yards last week in the team's 23-17 win over Miami. The passing game is loaded with receivers. The Panthers "D" is quick enough to keep the Jets QBs on their heels and force mistakes. Take Carolina. Thank you.
