Joe D'Amico's NFLX 50 Star Winner
Detroit vs. Oakland,

Score: 20 - 31
Point Spread: -2½/-120 Detroit
Today's winner is Detroit over Oakland. This is my 50 Star Winner.
Detroit was one of last season's most improved teams, finishing the regular season at 10-6. The Lions were eliminated by the Saints in the Playoffs but still made a name for themselves. QBs, Stafford, Hill, and Moore have combined for 515 YP this pre-season. The ground game has been stellar, amassing 166 and 198 yards in their first two games. They are loaded with receivers but as you know, one truly shines. Calvin Johnson looks to already be in mid-season form. Detroit takes exhibition football seriously. Last year, they were 4-0 both SU and ATS, averaging 28.5 PPG. The Lions don't look at this time of year as "scrimmages" like some other squads do. Oakland is 0-2, averaging 13.5 PPG. Let's face it, they played Dallas and Arizona and still couldn't make an adequate showing. They have four QBs on their roster, none of whom have tossed a single TD yet but have combined for 3 INTs. The running game is unable to gain any momentum without the passing game opening up the offense. Take Detroit. Thank you.
