Joe D'Amico's NFLX AFC Game of the Month
Pittsburgh vs. Buffalo,
08/25/2012 19:00 EDT,
Score: 38 - 7
Point Spread: -2½/-110 Pittsburgh
Today's winner is Pittsburgh over Buffalo. This is my AFC GoM.
Pittsburgh is once again touted to vie for the AFC Title. Thus far this pre-season, the Steelers have averaged 24.5 PPG. A season ago, Pitt finished the regular season at 12-4 just to lose in the 1st round of the Playoffs to Denver. That didn't sit well for the team or the city. This is a team that takes exhibition football seriously as they were 3-1 both SU and ATS last year. Even without Mendenhall (knee) the Pittsburgh ground game has tallied 277 YR. With four solid play-callers, this offense is already in-sync. Buffalo is slated to win just 7 games, which would be a 2 game improvement from last season. The Bills are winless at 0-2 this pre-season, mustering only 20 total points. A year ago, Buffalo was 1-3 both SU and ATS in exhibition play with only 1 solid outing. Their running game is deplorable and their passing game isn't much better. The Steelers are known for their defense and today their stop unit will shine. Take Pittsburgh. Thank you.
