Joe D's MLB 10-4 Grand Slam Play
Minnesota vs. Boston,

Score: 5 - 0
Money Line: +170 Minnesota
Today's winner is Minnesota over Boston. This is my Grand Slam Play.
Boston owns the worst home record of any AL team possessing a +.500 overall standing at 27-29 when hosting. Dropping 7 of their L12, the Red Sox are severely missing Ortiz, Sweeney, Nava, and Aviles. The potent lineup can still score, but Twins RH, Samuel Deduno is just brash enough to chop them down. Deduno is 2-0 in 23.0 IP, and fanning 18 batters. Minny is looking for vengeance, as they are winless against the Bosox, getting swept back in April, 3-0. Mauer and Span are hitting at will as Willingham, Morneau, and Doumit are providing true power. Right now, the Twins are a team with nothing to lose. This makes them very dangerous. Let's face it, the Red Sox are THE disappointment in the AL this season. Big names, big payroll, big expectations… All just window dressing. The Yankee's, Oriole's, and Ray's, are distancing themselves to make the Majors most competitive Division look unstoppable. And today, Boston sends Jon Lester to the cliff…I mean mound. The LH is 5-8, including a 2-6, 7.39 home mark, going 0-2 with a 13.50 ERA over his L3 starts. In his career, Lester is 1-3 with a whopping 5.17 record vs. Minnesota. The Red Sox are 4-12 their L16 during Game 1 of a series, 0-5 their L5 against teams with a losing record, and 1-6 in Lester's L7 starts at home. Take Minnesota. Thank you.
