4* MLB EARLY BIRD SPECIAL: Yankees -140

The Yankees winning streak is over. Big deal. There is no reason to lay off this team, especially with Phil Hughes taking the mound. New York has won 20 of their last 25 games overall and Hughes has been a big part of it. The guy is 3-0 with a 1.69 ERA and 1.078 WHIP, and has pitched well in six of his last seven overall.

The Braves will counter with 25-year-old Tommy Hanson, who been solid all season. Hanson started against the Yankees back in 2009, allowing no runs on four hits. However, that start came at home. This will be the youngsters first career start in Yankee Stadium, and it's just one of those deals that can take a pitcher completely out of his game.

New York is 31-9 in Hughes' last 40 starts as a home favorite, 8-2 in their last 10 home games, and 4-1 in their last 5 games following a loss. BET THE YANKEES!
