Joe D'Amico's NBA Game 6 Winner Heat/Pacers
Miami vs. Indiana,
05/24/2012 20:00 EDT,
Score: 105 - 93
Point Spread: -3/-102 Miami
Today's winner is Miami over Indiana.
The Miami Heat have come back strong to win and cover the last two games of this series by 8 and 32 points. Udonis Haslem scored 14 and 10 points in those two contests but is out today for committing a flagrant foul on Tyler Hansbrough in game 5. The Forward is a big cog in the Miami wheel but please remember that overall, Haslem averages just 6.0 PPG and 7.3 RPG. The Heat have the luxury of rotating Center's, Anthony and Turiaf and Forward's, James, Miller, Battier, and Jones to pick up the slack on the court. Wade and James have blown it up for a combined 70 and 58 points the L2 games while getting great performances from their supporting cast. The big issue that outweighs the absence of Haslem is that Pacers big men, Granger and West are seriously banged-up. Granger's ankle and West's knee will be a true handicap for the team. You see, the Pacers lone edge in this series is their height advantage on the front line. Without two thirds of their front court 100%, they are now at a big disadvantage in the paint and overall physically. Indiana is overwrought with Guards. Of course they have Center, Roy Hibbert but the only other big men the squad has to rely upon is Hansbrough and Amundson. Both of which don't have the goods to adequately fill in here. Don't forget that Miami won game 4 in Indiana. There is no way the Heat want this series to go the distance and will shut down and put away the Pacers tonight. The Heat are 5-2 ATS their L7 games played at the Pacers and 14-5 ATS their L19 Playoff games played as a favorite. The Pacers are 2-6 ATS their L8 Conference Semi Final games and 2-6 ATS their L8 games played following a SU loss of 10 or more points. Take Miami. Thank you.
