On Thursday the NBA Power system play is on the Indiana Pacers. Game 546 at 8:05 eastern. The Pacers fit some of my very best system sets here tonight. Game 6 home teams off certain spread losses are 17-1 ats vs teams with a win percentage of .619 or higher and I can certainly add the subset to make that perfect. Another system plays on game 6 home teams with a .551 or higher win percentage vs teams that are .666 or better. In general in playoff games teams off a 30 or more point loss tend to bounce back and cover in their next game. I Can go on and list no fewer that 3 more power systems in this one. However were going to take a look at some power angles. The Pacers are 9-1 straight up off a previous home loss and 8-0 winning by an average 11 points per game at home with 1 day of rest if they shot 45% or less from the field on the road in their last game and are taking on an opponent that shot 50% or higher at home. Miami has failed to cover 6 of the last 7 times on the road after a game where they shot 55% or higher. The Pacers have won 8 of 12 off a loss of 10 or more and both times when trailing in a playoff series. They are coming off a dismal 33% shooting performance while Miami is coming off a 61% shooting night. The Pacers lost steam when Granger went down in the 3rd quarter. Tonight should be a different story with the Pacers sure to make a statement in light of Larry Bird calling them soft. One must also wonder how many more games the Heat will get with LeWade combining for 55+ points. See the historical graph below, as teams like Miami in game 6 have lost 5 of 7 in all rounds when up 3-2 in this sequence. Look for the Pacers to get the cash. Take the Points.
