Joe D'Amico's NBA Game 1 Winner 76ers/Celtics
Philadelphia vs. Boston,
05/12/2012 20:00 EDT,
Score: 91 - 92
Point Spread: +5/-105 Philadelphia
Today's winner is Philadelphia over Boston.
Philly has hit the 2nd round of the Playoff's for the first time in the last nine years. They took down the scrappy though limping top-seeded Chicago squad in six games to advance to 2nd round. They have won and covered two of the three meetings over Boston this season. Andre Igoudala has been a machine. The Guard is one of seven players that are either flirting with or averaging DDs each game for the 76ers. Philadelphia matches up well with Boston. Their physical play and younger legs give them the edge here in Game 1. Boston is getting a bit long in the tooth and needed star performances by Pierce, Garnett, and Rondo just to advance this far. The back court of Ray Allen and Avery Bradley are banged-up. Allen is a game time decision with his ankle while Bradley will see action despite being hampered by his shoulder injury. The front court will get their points but this game will be won with the back court edge of Williams, Holiday, and Igoudala. The 76ers are 5-2 ATS their L7 meetings vs. the Celtics while the Celtics are 5-17 ATS their L22 Playoff games favored by 5-10 1/2 points. Take Philadelphia. Thank you.
