Joe D'Amico's NCAAB Odds Makers Mistake Winner
Notre Dame vs. Georgetown,

Score: 41 - 59
Point Spread: +6½/-110 Notre Dame
Today's winner is Notre Dame over Georgetown.
My staff and I agree that this game should be closer to a 1 point spread. Both teams are trying to secure one of the top four seeds and double-byes in next week's Big East Tournament. Notre Dame is in 3rd place, one game ahead of Georgetown. The well-balanced Notre Dame squad comes into this game red-hot, winning 9 of their L10 SU, going 8-2 ATS, including a 4-1 (both SU and ATS) mark in their L5 games played as a visitor. As a unit, the Irish are executing thoroughly on offense and scrapping for every ball on "D". Grant and Atkins have combined for 251 assists and average 25.4 PPG while Forward Cooley owns the glass with 9.2 RPG. Throw in the gradually increasing 3-point success of Connaughton and Notre Dame can beat you inside and out. Georgetown is good as well but the odds makers tend to inflate their numbers at home where the Hoyas are just 3-5 ATS their L8 as host. G'Town just lost outright by 18 to Seton Hall on the 21st, a game in which they were a 2 1/2 point fav. They did bounce back to spank Villanova. ND was riding a 9 game win-streak before their lowest 3-point shooting effort (4 of 31) in their loss to St. John's. I expect the Irish to strike back with a vengeance here. Please remember that Notre Dame has won and covered the L3 meeting over Georgetown. The underdog is 11-5-1 ATS the L17 meetings. The Irish are 5-0 ATS their L5 games played as a 'dog while the Hoyas are 3-8 ATS their L11 games played vs. teams with a winning SU record. Take Notre Dame. Thank you.
