4* NBA PRESIDENTS DAY ABSOLUTE SMASH
New Orleans vs. Oklahoma City,
02/20/2012 20:00 EDT,
Score: 93 - 101
Point Spread: +11½/-110 New Orleans
The Hornets are quietly starting to play some solid basketball. New Orleans has won three straight games, including back-to-back road games against the Bucks and Knicks. I look for them to really give the Thunder everything they can handle in this game. In the two meetings this season the Hornets lost by 10-points in each game, and were playing no where close to as good as they are right now.
What really makes this a good spot to jump on the Hornets is the Thunder just played a thrilling overtime game against the Nuggets. Oklahoma City was able to win the game 124-118, but it took big time performances out of Durant, 51 points, and Westbrook, 40 points. Durant played 45 mins and Westbrook was in their for 44 mins. I look for both of these players to lack the energy needed to make this game a blowout.
Oklahoma City is just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. win. The Hornets are 13-4 ATS in their last 17 games as a road underdog of 11.0 or greater and are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. BET THE HORNETS!
