Joe D'Amico's NCAAF 1-0 MAC GAME OF THE MONTH
Kent State vs. Ball State,
10/12/2013 15:00 EDT,
Score: 24 - 27
Point Spread: -14/-110 Ball State
Saturday's winner is Ball State over Kent State. This is my MAC GOM.
Kent State is 2-4 SU (2-4 ATS) with their pair of wins coming against Liberty and WMU. The Golden Flashes offense ranks 111th in both Total Yards (324.2) and PPG (18). They really don't have the weapons on "O". The defense is just as bad, allowing 473.3 YPG and yielding over 30.3 PPG. Safety, Tiggle is out with a foot injury. This will open up Keith Wenning and the BSU passing game. The QB has a 62.7% CR, 1996 YP, and a 11/3 TD/INT ratio. He has the luxury of boasting a stable of quality receivers. The tandem of Edwards and Banks (737 YR and 15 TDs) will run amok against the very weak 117th ranked rushing "D" of KSU. The Cardinals are a solid team that has won and covered their L3, including a 48-27 victory over Virginia last week as a 3 1/2 point 'dog. After winning and covering three straight in this series, BSU has lost and failed to cover the L2, including last season's, 45-43 heartbreaker. Revenge will be a factor here. The Cards are 6-1 ATS their L7 Conference games, 5-1 ATS their L6 games played at home, and 19-7 ATS their L26 games played overall. Take Ball State. Thank you.
