Joe D'Amico''s NCAAF AAC Game of the Month
Cincinnati vs. South Florida,
10/05/2013 19:00 EDT,
Score: 20 - 26
Point Spread: -11½/-110 Cincinnati
Saturday's winner is Cincinnati over South Florida. This is my AAC GoM.
At 3-1, Cincy has had three solid outings over Purdue, NW St, and Miami Ohio. The Bearcats have a lot to play for here. Not only is this their first AAC contest but it is their first time taking the field since OL, Ben Flick died in a car accident. Cincinnati's 6th-year QB, Brandon Kay has stepped up nicely, throwing for 578 yards, with a 67.2% CR, and 4 TDs since starter, Legaux went down. They have a solid ground game behind Williams and Abernathy IV (579 YR and 6 TDs). The Bearcats have a well-balanced offense that can successfully run and pass the ball. Their "D" ranks 5th in the nation, allowing just 253.5 YPG. This doesn't look good for the anemic South Florida "O". The 0-4 Bulls have scratched out just 6 TDs thus far, averaging 14.5 PPG while two of their games were against McNeese St and FAU. The only weapon they have is RB, Marcus Shaw. By the must face a Cincy "D" that allows just 95.2 YPG on the ground. The Bearcats are 8-1 ATS their L9 games played vs. the Bulls, 5-1 ATS their L6 games played vs. teams with a losing record, and 14-5 ATS their L19 games overall. The Bulls are 6-19-1 ATS their L26 games played at home, 1-4 ATS their L5 games played in October, and 6-19-1 ATS their L26 overall. Take Cincinnati. Thank you.
