Joe D'Amico's MLB 63% Home Run Winner
LA Dodgers vs. Atlanta,
10/03/2013 20:37 EDT,
Score: 6 - 1
Money Line: -138 LA Dodgers
Today's winner is Los Angeles over Atlanta. This is my Home Run Play.
Atlanta comes in here at 96-66 on the season but has lost seven consecutive playoff series. Now, the Braves did take the season series over the Dodgers, 5-2 but those contests happened in May and the first week of June before LA caught fire, finishing the season at 42-8. Atlanta's offense ranks 20th in Team BA at .249 and 24th in SBs with only 64 steals. Today, Kris Medlen goes to the bump. The RH is 15-12 on the season. He faces a very solid and red-hot Los Angeles lineup that ranks 6th with a .264 Team BA. Ramirez, Gonzalez, and Puig have been shredding opposing pitchers. Clayton Kershaw gets the start. The LH is 16-9 with an astounding 1.83 ERA this year, including a road mark of 8-3, limiting batters to just a .187 average in his 16 starts away from home. The Braves are 3-7 in Medlen's L10 starts vs. teams with a winning record and 1-6 their L7 playoff games. The Dodgers are 22-7 in Kershaw's L29 starts in Game 1 of a series and 47-17 their L64 games vs. RH starters. Take Los Angeles. Thank you.
