---Kansas City Chiefs -4---

The Chiefs definitely gained a lot of respect from the public after their strong showing in the national spotlight of Thursday Night Football, but I don’t know that people are ready to fully commit to this team just yet. At the same time, I think a lot of people are holding onto how good the Giants have been in years past and not focusing on just how bad this team has looked through three games. I actually think the Chiefs are showing some solid value in this spot.

Kansas City is clearly the team that’s playing with more confidence. The Chiefs also benefit from an extra couple days of rest coming off that game on Thursday. The biggest thing that has to have you liking the Chiefs is that this game is being played at home. When Kansas City has fielded a contender, Arrowhead is one of the toughest places to win at in the NFL. It’s going to be extremely loud on Sunday and the energy inside the stadium is going to be electric. Adding to this is the fact that the Giants are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 road games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs a team with a winning record. Kansas City on the other hand is 28-14 ATS in their last 42 home games vs the NFC.

More times than not turnovers win football games. Kansas City has forced an AFC best 9 turnovers and most importantly have not turned it over once in 2013. The Giants have coughed up the football 13 times in three games, easily the worst mark in the league. New York has also forced just 4 turnovers. All signs point to the Chiefs winning the turnover battle and essentially winning this game.

The Giants offensive struggles have been a direct result of not being able to run the football effectively and the offensive line not being able to protect Manning. New York allowed the Panthers to rack up 7 sacks last week. The Chiefs have been strong against the run, with their only bad game coming against the Eagles. As for putting pressure on the quarterback. Kansas City leads the league with 15 sacks. BET THE CHIEFS!
