Result: Loss

Louisiana Lafayette –5.5

Akron nearly knocked off the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Harbor last weekend. It was clearly an impressive performance from the Zips, but we must remember how terrible this team was before last weekend.

Akron was awful in 2012, and until last week they looked just as bad this season. Though the Zips definitely fought hard, we can chalk last week’s game up as an example of Michigan not being ready to play.

It is going to take more than one decent performance from Akron for me to see them as anything other than a bad football team.

Lafayette is the best team in the Sunbelt Conference, and they have a lot more speed and athleticism all over the field.

Terrance Broadway is a dual threat quarterback for the Ragin’ Cajuns. Lafayette plays the same type of up tempo offense that Akron does, but Lafayette does it much better.

If Akron hadn’t played out of their minds last weekend, the line here would definitely have been at least Lafayette -10.

This is a great spot to take advantage of an overreaction by the oddsmakers to one game.

Look for Lafayette to win and cover easily.

Take Louisiana-Lafayette. Good Luck, Razor Ray.
