Washington & Detroit over 48.5
The Washington Redskins host the Detroit Lions on Sunday in Week 3 of the NFL season. Washington is coming off a 38-20 loss to Green Bay, while Detroit dropped their last game to Arizona, 25-21.
Both of these teams have been able to put up points in bunches so far this season, with each team scoring at least 20 points in each of their first two games, but on the flip side, they’ve each allowed at least 24 points in each of their first two games.
The Washington defense in particular has been downright dreadful. They allowed Philadelphia to score 33 points to start the season, then gave up 38 to Green Bay.
Worst of all for them, is the fact that they do not have a cornerback that matches up well with Calvin Johnson, who should be in for a monster day.
As for the Washington offense, they’ve been able to move the ball through the air, and they should be able to do that again, facing a soft Detroit secondary.
Expect Alfred Morris to get his fair share of rushing yards on the ground as well.
The over is 6-0 in Washington’s last six games in the month of September.
Take the OVER.
