Arkansas State vs. Memphis,
09/21/2013 16:30 EDT,
Score: 7 - 31
Point Spread: -3½/-110 Arkansas State
Arkansas State -3.5
The Memphis Tigers host the Arkansas State Red Wolves on Saturday in Week 4 of the college football season.
The spread in this game is at less than a touchdown, but this contest has blowout written all over it.
Arkansas State has an offense that Memphis simply won’t be able to compete with. Despite a poor showing against a good SEC opponent in Auburn, the Red Wolves rank 15th in the nation in total offense, and No. 9 in the nation in rushing offense.
Quarterbacks Adam Kennedy and Fredi Knighten have provided a great one-two punch at quarterback, while running backs David Oku and Michael Gordon have been a matchup nightmare for opponents.
On the flip side, the Memphis offense lacks consistency, and will have trouble sustaining drives to keep the Arkansas State offense off the field.
The Tigers have been outgained by an average of better than 80 yards per game so far this season.
True freshman quarterback Paxton Lynch is taking longer to develop than the team had hoped, and the offense is really suffering for it.
Rookie head coach Bryan Harsin is liking what he sees out of his Red Wolves, and they should continue to roll in this one.
Take Arkansas State.
