Score: 93 - 86
Point Spread: +2½/-103 San Antonio
Today's winner is San Antonio over Memphis. This is my Stars and Stripes Play.
San Antonio won't ever forget their 2-0 lead in LYs WCFs, when OKC took 4 straight and sent the Spurs packing. San Antonio has done it all in this series…They have won big, went to OT, twice, and fought back from an 18-point deficit Saturday to earn the victory. The three-day layoff they had rejuvenated the banged-up Spurs. The seasoned unit knows exactly what it would mean to the team finishing the Grizzlies tonight and then having time off until June 6th when the Final's start. Memphis was down 2-0 to LA and came back to win. Guys, San Antonio ain't LA. Memphis shot poorly again with #'s of 39.2% FGs, 35% 3-pointers, and 55.6% FTs. That was there stats from Saturday's matchup. The Spurs hit 50% from the field, 33.3% beyond the arc, 72.7% from the line, and pulled down 50 boards. They out-hustled their counterparts, beating the Grizzlies in both Fast Break points and Points in the Paint. Memphis is known for their "D", but to advance at this stage, your offense must step up. There is no consistency. The Big 3 of Memphis are playing an average of approximately 40 Minutes per game in this series. Guys, only two San Antonio regulars topped the 40 minute mark the last contest. San Antonio is 5-1 both SU and ATS their L6 road Playoff games. In the seven meetings this season between these two squads, the Spurs won 5 SU, dropping the two by a combined 5 points. Take San Antonio. Thank you.
