9* Sunday MLB WSH/CIN
Cincinnati vs. Washington,
04/28/2013 13:35 EDT,
Score: 5 - 2
Money Line: -118 Washington
The Washington Nationals host the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon in game four of a four-game set. Washington won game three in the series on Saturday, 6-3.
The Nationals have a pair of series sweeps at home under their belts already this season, and they will try for series sweep number three on Sunday.
Washington sends out Ross Detwiler to close out this series. The Nationals are 16-5 in Detwiler’s last 21 starts as a favorite, and 12-4 in his last 16 starts at home.
Detwiler has a 1.38 ERA on the season, and has not given up more than two runs in a game this season. He has a career 2.48 ERA versus the Reds.
The Reds counter with Tony Cingrani. Cingrani has looked strong in the first two starts of his career, but the Reds did him a favor by making sure those starts lined up with games against the lowly Marlins and Cubs.
Cingrani’s ERA is 2.25 through those first two starts, but he will face his toughest test on Sunday versus a Nationals team that has scored 4.5 runs per game when facing a left-handed starter.
The Reds are 0-8 in their last eight road games. Take Washington.
Good Luck, Razor Ray
