Tim Lincecum has a very long history against the San Diego Padres, and it is a great history at that. Lincecum is 11-5 with a 2.33 ERA against the Padres in his career.
He also sports a very impressive 2.47 ERA at Petco Park.
Lincecum was one of the most disappointing pitchers in the majors last year, but he has bounced back nicely so far this year. The Giants are 4-0 in his 4 starts so far this year.
He has been one of the biggest moneymakers in the league early in the season.
Andrew Cashner was a highly touted pitching prospect, but he has yet to show any consistency in his young MLB career. The Giants lineup may not be terrific, but they are better than last year.
They are also much better than the San Diego Padres, who have one of the worst lineups in baseball.
San Diego has a tough time scoring runs against anyone, and I find it hard to believe that they’ll bust out of their hitting slump against a guy who has dominated them for a very long time.
The Giants are 21-7 in their last 28 games against San Diego. They are 6-2 in Lincecum’s last 8 starts against San Diego.
The Giants are the much better team. Take San Francisco.
Good Luck, Razor Ray
