Houston vs. Oakland Under 7
The Houston Astros have the single worst lineup in the American League. Houston doesn’t have a single guy in the lineup who can really scare opposing pitchers.
Houston will be blanked quite a few times this season.
Oakland’s offense has been amazing so far this year, but I think they have overperformed to some degree. There is no way Oakland is going to lead the league in runs scored as they have most of the year thus far.
Yoenis Cespedes was injured a couple days ago, and he was the A’s best power hitter in the middle of the lineup.
Oakland will be without him, and possibly without leadoff hitter Coco Crisp in this game as well.
Erik Bedard and Tom Milone are two quality left-handed pitchers, and I expect them to both pitch well in this one.
Milone’s numbers at home have been amazing throughout his young career. Bedard has a good history against Oakland.
This is the type of game where it won’t be a bit surprising to see a 2-1 or 3-1 final score. Seven is a low total, but it isn’t low enough for two poor offenses and two strong pitchers.
Good Luck, Razor Ray.
