Joe D's NBA eastern Con Game of the Month
New York vs. Cleveland,

Score: 101 - 91
Point Spread: -4½/-110 New York
Today's winner is New York over Cleveland. This is my Eastern Conference Game of the Month.
New York had their 13 game win-streak end by Chicago last night. The Knicks still control their own destiny for the #2 seed in the East. They have a 2-game lead over Indiana. Carmelo Anthony had 36 points and 19 boards in the Bulls loss, setting a franchise record of 6 consecutive games with 35 plus points scored. JR Smith has emerged as a true-talent, as he put up 38/14. NY is without Chandler, Camby, and Martin. But injuries to Cleveland leaves the floor in the hands of the very inexperienced, Tyler Zeller. New York's back court of Kidd and Felton will control the clock and get the ball into the hands of the NBA's top-scorer, 'Melo. Cleveland has lost 4 of their L5against the Knicks, including both meetings this season. The Cavs have hit rock-bottom, losing 12 of their L14SU and failing to cover four straight at home. Their best two players, Waiters and Irving have missed some time due to injuries but in all fairness, Carmelo sat in the first matchup as well. New York knows that this is the game they needs to out in the books to get the prize of the #2 seed. They won't leave anything to chance. The Knicks are 7-1 ATS their L8 games played on the road, 11-2 ATS their L13 games played against the East, 20-7 ATS their L27 games vs. teams with a winning percentage under .400, and 17-5 ATS their L22 games played overall. Take New York. Thank you.
