Ottawa & NY Rangers under 5
The Ottawa Senators host the New York Rangers on Thursday. Ottawa is coming off a 3-2 shootout win over New Jersey, while New York beat Philadelphia their last time out, 5-2.
The Rangers have been an under machine of late, having played over the total only once in their last 11 games.
New York’s struggling offense is a big part of why they’ve played low scoring games with such frequency lately, but goaltender Henrik Lundqvist also deserves a lot of the credit.
Lundqvist has posted a 1.75 GAA and a .937 save percentage over his last five games.
For Ottawa, they’ve played over the total only once in their last 12 home games. Their recent run of unders was to be expected, as much of the team’s firepower sits on the disabled list.
While goaltender Craig Anderson is among those injured stars, Ben Bishop and Robin Lehner have filled in admirably in his stead. The team has allowed only 1.58 goals per game over their last 12 home contests.
These teams have played over the total in only two of their last 17 meetings, and have not played over the total in any of their last eight meetings. Take the UNDER.
Good Luck, Razor Ray
