Joe D'Amico's NCAAB 7-1 TEN DIME
Maryland vs. North Carolina,
03/16/2013 15:30 EDT,
Score: 76 - 79
Point Spread: -4/-110 North Carolina
Today's winner is North Carolina over Maryland. This is my TEN DIME.
If it weren't for Dez Wells, Maryland would be hoping for an NIT invite. The Guard posted 51 total points vs. Wake Forest and Duke. Prior to those two victories, the Terps went 7-10 SU crushing bettors with a 7-12 mark their L19 ATS to finish the regular season. Maryland has size and is strong on the glass, but overall their offense sputters. North Carolina has won 7 of their L8 SU and 8 of their L9 ATS, winning 6 of 7 by DDs. The Tar Heels have taken 6 in a row over the Terrapins (5-1 ATS) including wins and covers in both meetings this year by an average of 10.5 PPG. Since Hairston became a starter, the entire team has raised their level of play. NC's Big Men can neutralize Maryland's only asset, their rebounding ability. And there is NO way the Terps can slow down the offensive machine of the Tar Heels. North Carolina is 8-1 ATS their L9 games played vs. the ACC while Maryland is 3-7 ATS their L10 games played vs. teams with a winning percentage of over .600. Take North Carolina. Thank you.
