8* Saturday NHL ANA/STL
Anaheim vs. St. Louis,
03/16/2013 20:00 EDT,
Score: 1 - 2
Money Line: -125 St. Louis
The St. Louis Blues host the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday. St. Louis is coming off a 3-0 win over Phoenix, while Anaheim needed a shootout to get past the Stars their last time out, 2-1.
The Blues have generated a total of 23 goals over their last six games, and the team’s newly formed top line deserves most of the credit for the team’s recent offensive surge.
Head coach Ken Hitchcock assembled the new top line of Patrik Berglund, Chris Stewart, and David Perron just eight games ago, but that unit has shown instant chemistry. In their last six games, the three players have combined for an incredible 24 points, racking up 12 goals and 12 assists.
Alex Steen has also provided an offensive spark, returning on Thursday after missing eight games, recording a goal and two assists against Phoenix.
St. Louis has scored 11 goals in their last three home games.
Anaheim has only one victory in their last six trips to St. Louis, and that win came via the shootout. In those five losses, they were outscored 27-10.
Now they’ll make the trip without Corey Perry, after managing only one regulation goal in their first game without him against Dallas on Thursday.
The Ducks are 1-5 in their last six trips to the Scottrade Center. Take St. Louis.
Good Luck, Razor Ray
