7* Friday NBA CHI/GS
Chicago vs. Golden State,
03/15/2013 22:30 EDT,
Score: 113 - 95
Point Spread: -4/-105 Golden State
The Golden State Warriors host the Chicago Bulls on Friday. Golden State is coming off a 105-97 win over Detroit, while Chicago dropped their last game to Sacramento, 121-79.
Warriors guard Stephen Curry is one of the hottest players in basketball right now, averaging 28.3 points and 4.4 three-pointers over his last 10 games.
It’s tough to think about the Golden State Warriors as anything other than a run-and-shoot team that plays over 100 points every night after so many years under Don Nelson, but it’s important to remember that with the team’s coaching change to Marc Jackson, came a change in philosophy.
Jackson emphasizes strong play at the defensive end, and he finally has the horses to implement his strategy.
The team traded Monta Ellis to the Milwaukee Bucks to hand the point guard position to Stephen Curry, but also to bring in a player that better suited the style of basketball that Jackson wants to employ.
Andrew Bogut has missed plenty of time this season, but he’s finally reached a point where he can say he’s fully healthy, and he can play without a minutes restriction.
He’s responded in a big way, blocking at least one shot in each of his six games since returning to the lineup, while also averaging 9.5 boards and 1.7 steals per game.
The Warriors have allowed only 88.0 points per game over their last five contests.
The Bulls haven’t traveled well recently, losing their last five road contests by an average margin of 20.8 points.
The Bulls are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 trips to Oracle Arena. Take Golden State.
Good Luck, Razor Ray
