Score: 77 - 76
Point Spread: -1/-110 UC Davis
UC Davis –1
The UC Davis Aggies are a better team than their 14-14 record indicated. They are a team to watch in the upcoming Big West Tournament. UC Davis has the best one-two scoring punch in the conference with Corey Hawkins and Ryan Sypkens.
Both of them have missed some time of late, but the team has still managed to play well. Hawkins and Sypkens are both expected to be ready to go for this one.
Hawkins is averaging 20.3 points per game, and he has scored more than 30 three times in the last nine games. Sypkens shoots 47% from three-point range, and he can fill it up in a hurry.
This game will be nationally televised, which is huge for a program like UC Davis. In fact, this is the first nationally televised home game in UC Davis’ basketball history.
This team should be super pumped up for this game.
Long Beach State isn’t the Big West powerhouse that they have been the last couple years, and they have struggled on the road this year. I think they are getting too much respect from the oddsmakers here.
UC Davis is 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games against the Big West.
Good Luck, Razor Ray.
