Joe D'Amico's NFL Divisional Playoff Game of the Year
NY Giants vs. Green Bay,
01/15/2012 16:30 EDT,
Score: 37 - 20
Point Spread: -7½/-102 Green Bay
Today's winner is Green Bay over New York. This is my Divisional Playoff Game of the Year.
The Giants are on a 3-0 SU and ATS run. But, against the Jets, Cowboys, and Falcons. Three teams that fell way short of expectations this season. Prior to that, New York lost 5 of their L6 SU, going 2-4 ATS. Some of their players have gotten healthy but the squad hasn't been battle-tested yet. They are averaging 24.6 PPG and are dead-last on the ground with 89.2 YPG rushing. Green Bays numbers in their season-finale weren't the best. But they didn't need the game. This is a team that is 15-1 SU, 11-5 ATS, and won all 8 home games this season, going 7-1 ATS. QB, Aaron Rodgers has 4643 YP, 45/6 TD/INT ratio, and a 122.7 QB rating. He, his receivers, and RB, Ryan Grant are healthy (Check the status of Starks). Their OL has had an extra week to rest, heal, and prepare here. Their league-leading 35.0 PPG is too much for NY to handle. They just can't trade blows with the Defending Super Bowl Champions. The Packers are 4-0 ATS their L4 Playoff games, 8-1 ATS their L9 games played vs. teams with a winning record, and 34-16-1 ATS their L51 games played overall. Take Green Bay. Thank you.
