Detroit vs. New Orleans,
01/07/2012 20:00 EDT,
Score: 28 - 45
Point Spread: -10½/-105 New Orleans
Today's winner is New Orleans over Detroit. This is my 10 Dime Winner.
New Orleans has come on strong, winning and covering their L8 to finish the season as the NFC's #3 seed at 13-3. The Saints have been outscoring opponents 41.1 PPG to 17.9 PPG in the 2nd half of the season. They are a perfect 8-0 SU and ATS when playing host. QB, Drew Brees has 5476 YP, a 71.2 % CR, and a 46/14 TD/INT ratio. He faces the swiss-cheese secondary of Detroit today that allowed Green Bay backup QB, Matt Flynn to tally 480 YO and 5 TDPs last week. The "O" ranks in the top 6 in just about every category. The stop unit has united to allow just 21.2 PPG. New Orleans has won and covered 3 straight over Detroit. The Lions have made a good showing this season, but the curtain will drop here. This is a team with no playoff experience, They have made the post-season since 1999. They do have the #4 scoring "O" but now must line up against a HEALTHY Saints "D". The Lions are 0-3-1 ATS their L4 games played on the road, 0-5-1 ATS their L6 games played vs. teams with a winning record, and 0-4 ATS their L4 vs. the NFC. The Saints are 11-1 ATS their L12 games played at home, 7-0 ATS their L7 games played as a favorite, and 7-0 ATS their L7 games played against the NFC. Take New Orleans. Thank you.
