Joe D'amico's NFL AFC West Game of the Year
San Diego vs. Denver,
11/18/2012 16:15 EDT,
Score: 23 - 30
Point Spread: -7½/-105 Denver
Sunday's winner is Denver over San Diego. This is my AFC West GoY.
These two teams met on October 15th, when San Diego blew a 24 points halftime lead and lost 35-24. Since the start of last season, SD has an NFL-worst 40 TOs. The Chargers have a relatively easy schedule and yet are 4-5 so far. QB, Philip Rivers has 15 TDs and a whopping 12 INTs. The running game is stagnant. San Diego covered their L3 at Mile High, but that was before Payton Manning moved in. The 4-Time MVP is having a career year with a 69.7% CR, 2705 YP, and a TD/INT ratio of 21/6. The team has won 4 in a row (both SU and ATS) averaging 34 PPG and overall boast an NFL-best 115-30 edge in the 4th quarter. SD lost 4 of their L5 SU. Their OL is hurting and doesn't allow Rivers to play his game. All of Denver's home wins were by DDs. The Chargers are 2-5 ATS their L7 games played vs. teams with a winning record, 1-5 ATS their L6 games played in November, and 1-4 ATS their L5 games played overall. The Broncos are 4-0 ATS their L4 games played against teams with a losing record, 6-0 ATS their L6 games played in November, and 4-0 ATS their L4 games played overall. Take Denver. Thank you.
