Joe D'Amico's NFL InterConference Game of the Month
NY Giants vs. Cincinnati,
11/11/2012 13:00 EDT,
Score: 13 - 31
Point Spread: -3½/-105 NY Giants
Sunday's winner is New York over Cincinnati. This is my Inter Conference GoM.
New York won four in a row before LWs 4th quarter loss to Pittsburgh. But the Giants are exactly where they want to be… Atop the NFC East at 6-3 and playing on the road where they are 7-0-1 ATS their L8 games played away from home. Eli Manning (ya know, the brother also with MVPs and Super Bowl rings) has 2464 YP, great receivers in Cruz and Nicks, and a solid ground game behind Bradshaw. As a visitor, NY is outscoring home teams by 12.8 PPG TY. Their "D" has allowed a mere 14.7 PPG as a guest facing Dallas, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Carolina. Cincinnati hasn't won since beating league-worst Jacksonville on September 30th. Since then, the Bengals have lost and failed to cover 4 straight, turning the ball over 9 times. The team has yet to have a 100-yard rusher and QB, Andy Dalton has 11 picks this season. Overall, Cincy hasn't covered at home TY, going 0-3-1 ATS as host. The Giants are 38-15-1 ATS their L54 games played on the road and 10-4-1 ATS their L15 games played overall. The Bengals are 7-18-3 ATS their L28 games played following an ATS loss and 0-6-1 ATS their L7 games played vs. teams with a winning record. Take New York. Thank you.
